The Spotlight Project was founded by Rachel, a physical therapist working with special needs students. When she discovered that the unemployment rate among special needs adults is 80%, she decided to do something about it. The Spotlight Project employs adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities in making handcrafted bracelets. Their mission is to "raise employment for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities" and "shine a light on their meaningful contributions to society."
